Business partners David Brown and Barry Kliche formulated their idea to start a JAXQuickfit Tyres store in Cairns over a couple of bottles of red wine.
Industry veteran David had little convincing to do when it came to outlining the benefits of owning the franchise to Barry – and the pair share management of the store in a 6-month split rotation.
“I do April to September and Barry does the rest,’’ David said.
“I am lucky to score the slightly cooler months in Cairns, but I admit when I come up here I thoroughly enjoy what a holiday town it is and I make the most of such beautiful tropical surroundings.”
David inherited his love of the tyre industry from his father, and also owns a NSW JAXQuickfit Tyres franchise with 4 of his brothers.
To say it was “in his blood” is an understatement.
David said the Cairns store serviced customers from as far afield as Cooktown and the Tablelands, with some customers also harking from Innisfail.
The bustling store welcomes customers to call in for a quote or just a quick chat with one of its enthusiastic and qualified staff about the products or services available.
The store is conveniently
located near the Cairns city centre and is open from 7:30am-5pm
Mon-Fri and 7:30am-12 midday on Saturdays.
