More than a decade in the tyre business including a number of years as a JAXQuickfit Store Manager has prepared Nathan Jones well for taking on the franchise of the Caulfield South outlet.
"Since we opened, the business has been going brilliantly, better than anyone expected and I am very excited about its long-term potential … I am delighted to have the opportunity to make this my own business," new franchisee Nathan Jones says.
"The locals have been fantastic, really receptive, and I think the most rewarding thing of all for me has been all the referrals we have got from customers, amazing."
Opened earlier this year under Nathan Jones' management, the Caulfield South outlet offers a large selection of major tyre brands and a huge range of wheels, together with brake, suspension and mechanical servicing, and nitrogen fill.
Like many of the JAXQuickfit franchisees, Nathan Jones began his tyre industry career on the shop floor as a tyre fitter and worked his way up the ranks through a succession of stores in Clayton, Frankston, Albury-Wodonga and Canberra, before returning to his native Melbourne.
The Hawthorn Road store features state-of-the-art computerised tyre fitment and wheel alignment equipment, utilised by a dedicated and highly-experienced staff of industry professionals.
"What sets our business apart is our customer service … our philosophy is to under promise and over deliver, so that customers leave us having had a very positive experience," Nathan Jones said.
"At the end of the day, buying wheels or tyres should be a straight forward and enjoyable experience … that's my commitment to the business and our customers."
Nathan Jones has also worked hard to make the Hawthorn Road store more appealing to female tyre buyers.
"Females make up a significant portion of the tyre buying public and we are very conscious of that, we've tried to make the layout of the store and the waiting area more female friendly."
Nathan Jones says the Caulfield South store is typically suburban in its product scope.
