The five Brown Brothers banded together in 1994 to open their first JAXQuickfit Tyres in the NSW coastal town of Coffs Harbour.
To this day, brothers Michael and David are heavily involved in the day-to-day running of the business, while siblings Kevin, Phil and Chris watch on from the sidelines.
David Brown, who divides him time between the Coffs Harbour store and the bustling Cairns JAXQuickfit Tyres franchise said the five brothers had many and varied talents, but held a collective interest in the automotive industry.
“Michael and I obviously work the shop and Kevin is also in the industry, while Phil is a retired geologist and Chris is actually a chef,” he said.
“We got our interest in the automotive industry at an early age from our father, and I guess it’s stuck.”
When he’s not discussing JAXQuickfit products and services with valued clients, David can be found on his beloved yacht – a testament to his life-long love of sailing.
“I have been sailing most of my life, and will continue to sail for the rest of my life,’’ he said
“That too is in my blood.”
The Coffs Harbour JAXQuickfit Tyres store services customers from as far off as Grafton, Dorrigo and Nambucca Heads.
You can expect the highest level of expertise and efficient service upon a visit to the store, and the Brown brothers encourage customers to come in and have a chat about even the smallest inquiry they might have.
The store is open from 8am-5pm Mon-Fri and 8am-12 midday Saturdays.
