Wayne Gough’s JAXQuickfit Tyres at Ipswich West was the winner of the Motor Vehicle Services Division of the Business Achievers Awards run by the Ipswich News, which is part of the Quest Community Newspapers group
Aside from the honour of winning an Award that he believes will help the business grow even further, Wayne says it’s confirmation that his team is on track with the way they like to operate.
“Our business philosophy is that if you treat everyone the way you want to be treated, then the business will go okay. So to get feedback from customers like this, when they have taken the trouble to nominate you for such a prestigious an award, you think ‘it’s working’ and that’s very satisfying.”

Wayne has owned JAXQuickfit Tyres at Ipswich West for four years. A former director of the Quickfit Tyres group, he sold out just before Quickfit merged with JAX Tyres and is thoroughly enjoying being ‘back at the coalface’ of the tyre industry.
He first came into the business in 1968 and has had a wide range of experience along the way, including buying and running his own service station and working on the wholesale side of the tyre industry, before joining the Quickfit group.
