For over 17 years, Bob Gardner has enjoyed a successful career in the tyre retailing business.
Now he’s the manager of the revamped JAXQuickfit Tyres outlet in Bathurst Street, Launceston and since he took over, business is on the increase.
“I’ve been in the industry a long time, so I think I know what people want. They want a good deal, good service and honesty and I can promise they will get it from us.
“Customer service is the most important thing. People can buy a tyre anywhere but they don’t always get treated well. If you look after people, word gets around – if you don’t look after them, it gets around even faster.”
Bob has a highly qualified team working for him, including two tyre fitters and a mechanic, and together they offer what JAXQuickfit Tyres is famous for by offering the world’s leading tyre brands (including
BFGoodrich,
Bridgestone,
Continental,
Dunlop,
Falken
Goodyear,
Michelin, and
Pirelli) as well as a wide range of top-line alloy and steel
wheels and a variety of other mechanical services, such as brakes and suspension.
The Launceston store was first opened about four years ago under the Quickfit name and is now one of 72 stores operating under the JAXQuickfit Tyre banner, which was created two years ago when JAX and Quickfit merged.
Tony’s mechanical business has also grown considerably over the past two years and as well as offering a comprehensive tyre line up, the store also provides brakes, suspension, and vehicle servicing.
