"Jamie and Michael came out of our Mosman store in August  2009, so they are vastly experienced and the perfect people to run such a key store," JAXQuickfit Tyres' CEO Jeff Board said.

Needless to say both Jamie Nicholson and Michael Clark are up-beat about their Smithfield opportunity.

"The store is in tremendous condition, it's a great business and an exciting opportunity for us," Jamie Nicholson said.

"We both live close to this area so we understand quite a bit about the market.

"It's a mix of old and new suburban areas, and there's a big industrial part of the region as well. So we've got the usual passenger tyre customers, plus the young blokes looking for big wheels, low profile tyres and suspension work, and there's lots of demand for light truck tyres.

"There's even a bit of rural demand from four-wheel-drive tyre customers in the outlying areas," Michael Clark explained.

The two partners are both married with children and also share a common interest in family and motorsport, with Jamie competing at drag racing events when business allows.
