With over 24years industry experience, Barry Fields has always had a passion for tyres.

Since completing his Motor Mechanics apprenticeship in 1998 at a tyre service outlet, Barry has enjoyed working his way up through the ranks beginning as a tyre fitter, and completing tenures at a wholesale level and as a store manager for various tyre retailers throughout South East Queensland.

After just 12 months of managing the JAXQuickfit Yeerongpilly store, Barry quickly recognised the value of the business and when an opportunity came about to purchase the franchise, he jumped at the chance.

Together with his parents, Brian and Roslyn Fields, they formed Fields Tyres Pty Ltd.

Barry, as the Principal runs the store on a daily basis and his extensive experience is complemented by the appointment of five highly qualified permanent staff.

Brian and Roslyn are Directors of the company and Brian draws on his previous career in Banking to look after all the administrative and financial aspects of the business. Keeping it all in the family, Barry’s son Brian Junior also pitches in, working as a fitter on Saturday mornings.

“With my tyre knowledge, Dad’s business acumen and the support we have from JAXQuickfit, we are confident we have what it takes to run a successful franchise operation and provide the local community with the highest standards of service and advice,” said Barry Fields.
