Well the V8 Supercar
season is now in full
swing with some
fantastic racing
already held at Clipsal,
the Australian F1GP
and most recently
over the ditch at the
Hamilton 400
There is a real buzz around
the series and racing this year,
and it is set to get even more
exciting with the Winton round
up next on the calendar from
May 1-3.
Winton includes the introduction for the first time of
Dunlop’s
SP Sport Maxx Sprint tyre, which from a fans perspective will
be quite interesting as it is guaranteed to deliver more action
both on the race track and the pits.
The
dual compound racing tyres, the
Sport Maxx
Control and
the Sport Maxx Sprint, are a great idea to spice up the racing
as it throws everything up in the air. Teams will now have to
come up with all new strategies for themselves, as well as try
to predict all the different ways their competitors may use the
new tyres.
Triple 8 Racing, in particular Jamie Whincup, have been the
team to beat so far this season so it will be interesting to see
how they handle the situation and if they can maintain their
dominance under the new circumstances.
