John Bowe Drives Direzza at Phillip Island

I recently had the chance to sample another of Dunlop’s top notch products when I raced a production Falcon GT in a round of the Australian Production Car Championship at Phillip Island.

The class requires tyres which are road legal but being raced places much more stress on the product. To this end Dunlop have developed the Direzza DZ03G which achieves outstanding levels of grip and durability on the race track.

This allows the car to be exploited fully in the production class which races the Australian Manufacturers Championship.

More and more car enthusiasts are also participating in track days and high performance driving courses and the DZ03G is the ideal tyre for this application.

Production racing and track tyres are just another example of how Dunlop’s race tyre technology filters into the race tyre arena. Incidentally, the winner of the Phillip Island race –a Mitsubishi Evo 9 was also using the Dunlop DZ03G.
