BFGoodrich Drivers Team - Monte Carlo Rally Closing Date for BFGoodrich Drivers Team Applications: December 31,2008
A number of weeks ago, and in association with the FFSA (Fédération Française du Sport Automobile) and Kronos Racing, BFGoodrich announced its intention to offer a French or Monegasque driver a chance to drive the BFGoodrich Drivers Team Peugeot 207 Super 2000 on the 2009 Rallye Automobile Monte-Carlo which runs from January 21 to 24.
To make the final choice, the FFSA, Kronos Racing and BFGoodrich will team up with a panel of specialist French journalists in Paris on Friday January 9, 2009.
"It is important to stress that only those drivers who forward an application to the FFSA will be taken into consideration for inclusion in the initial shortlist," underlines the BFGoodrich Drivers Team Programme Manager Jacques Morelli. "This opportunity is open to all French and Monegasque competition licence holders, irrespective of their age, their experience or their track record in the sport. The only conditions are that they must hold a competition licence and that their application needs to reach the FFSA by December 31, 2008."
BFGoodrich and Kronos Racing will select five candidates from the initial shortlist drawn up by the FFSA, and the names of these five drivers will then go before the final panel for the ultimate phase of the selection process.
The panel will award points to each of the last five and this will decide which driver gets the chance to contest the legendary Monte Carlo Rally in the colours of BFGoodrich/Kronos alongside the team's resident drivers, Freddy Loix and Nicolas Vouilloz, who will also be competing in a Peugeot 207 Super 2000.
