Manager Takes Ownership at JAXQuickfit Caulfield South

Just eight months after opening JAXQuickfit Tyres’ new Caulfield South store, Manager Nathan Jones has taken on the franchise.

“Since we opened, the business has been going brilliantly, better than anyone expected, and I am very excited about its long-term potential … I am delighted to have the opportunity to make this my own business,” new franchisee Nathan Jones says.

“The locals have been fantastic, really receptive, and I think the most rewarding thing of all for me has been all the referrals we have got from customers, amazing.”

An experienced Store Manager with more than a decade in the tyre industry, the last few as a Store Manager for JAXQuickfit, Nathan Jones says he’ll be making very little change to the business under his ownership.

“You’d have to say it’s pretty right now … we’ve expanded the workshop recently to meet demand for the mechanical side and we’ve increased the staff, but that’s about it.”

For Nathan Jones taking on the JAXQuickfit Tyres franchise is a big commitment and coincides with the imminent birth of his and wife Emily’s first child.

Though she will have her hands full with her new child, Emily has been influential in making the Hawthorn Road store more appealing to female tyre buyers.

“Females make up a significant portion of the tyre buying public and we are very conscious of that, we’ve tried to make the layout of the store and the waiting area more female friendly,” Nathan Jones says.

And while the majority of customers are locals looking for new tyres for their family car, the Caulfield South store has also developed a solid base of trade and fleet work.

“It’s all good,” Nathan Jones says with a smile.
