Continental Tyres Expands Original Equipment Portfolio
The long list of manufacturers opting for Continental Tyres as original equipment (OE) continues to grow with the announcement, the new Volkswagen Passat CC R-Line currently on sale in Europe only, will come standard with ContiSportContact 3 tyres.All R-Line vehicles manufactured post 16th December, 2009 now feature the high performance ContiSportContact 3 with ContiSeal technology.
Featuring a coating on the inner side of the tread, that will immediately close off punctures up to 5mm in diameter as they occur, ContiSeal technology resolves almost 85 percent of all tyre failures.
Volkswagen currently supplies all versions of the Passat CC model range with the ContiSportContact 3 featuring ContiSeal technology, with size 235/45R17 and 235/40R18 on the sport orientated R-Line version.
Well known for its excellent safety at high speeds, the asymmetric tread pattern design of the ContiSportContact 3 provides shorter braking distances, excellent handling and precise steering response in all conditions.

ContiSeal technology is already available in Australia along with the complete Continental range to suit a variety of vehicle types and Australia’s varied driving conditions.
