GOODYEAR ACCEPTED TWO “2010 BEST TYRE OF THE YEAR” AWARDS IN CHINA RECENTLY FROM AUTO SPORTS MAGAZINE DURING A CEREMONY HOSTED BY THE PUBLICATION IN BEIJING – MORE THAN ANY OTHER TYRE MANUFACTURER.

The awards named the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric as the “Best Handling Tyre of the Year” and the Goodyear Assurance ArmorGrip as the “Safest Tyre of the Year.”
In order to identify the winners of these prestigious awards, Auto Sports Magazine performed long term tyre testing on 22 different tyre products from eight separate brands. After completing these extensive tests, the magazine selected Goodyear as the clear winner in two of the ten categories.

In a separate announcement made earlier this month, Goodyear Assurance ArmorGrip was also unanimously recommended by a panel of automotive Website editors under the CBS Interactive Group – which includes Xcar.com, cheshi.com and gocar.cn – as the recipient of the “Auto Product of the Year” award.
This accolade was received due to the high degree of brand preference and trust among consumers and the overall performance of the tyre through a range of tests.
“These three awards demonstrate a clear preference among media and consumers for Goodyear tyres – a preference which is backed by hard data and professional testing results,” commented Melissa Tilley, Goodyear Australia Brand Manager.
“These awards attest to the outstanding safety and handling of our products and work to motivate us to keep introducing the new features and technology that keep Goodyear on the cutting edge of the tyre industry.”
