Continental Supplies Tyres for Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG

Continental Tyres has received further confirmation on its status as the preferred tyre supplier for high performing sports cars with the announcement Mercedes Benz has approved the new ContiSportContact™ 5 P (CSC 5P) for fitment to the Mercedes SLS AMG.

Designed for optimal performance in both wet and dry conditions, and with offerings such as short braking distances, increased grip and improved handling, makes the award winning CSC 5P the perfect partner for one of the world’s leading high performance vehicle brands.

The potential of the CSC 5P was recognised long before its official debut with the OE green light approvals being granted by Mercedes-Benz AMG for the C 63 and E 63, as well as by Audi for the TT RS and by Renault for the Mégane III Sport.

For the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, the tyre comes in size 265/35 R 19 for the front axle and 295/30 ZR 20 for the rear.

The relationship between Mercedes-AMG and Continental also includes a worldwide collaboration between the AMG Driving Academy and the German tyre manufacturer.

AMG vehicles fitted with Continental tyres are used in perfection training conducted on world-famous race tracks around Europe. Participants are taught the safe handling of vehicles in dangerous and critical situations.
