Nissan Releases Details on 2011 GT-R, New Stickier Dunlops Among Improvements

NISSAN HAS REVEALED THAT THE NEW 11MY GT-R IS SET TO GET IMPROVED ENGINE OUTPUT AND TORQUE, GREATER FUEL EFFICIENCY, REVISED HANDLING, A REFRESHED EXTERIOR WITH IMPROVED AERODYNAMICS, REVISED INTERIOR TREATMENT AND NEW WHEELS AND TYRES WHEN IT GOES ON SALE.

The lighter and more rigid “Hyper Blue Black Chrome” wheels are wrapped in upgraded Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX GT 600 DSST CT tyres which make use of a stickier compound.

The new Dunlop SP SPORT MAXX 600 tyres have been designed to improve tyre grip as well as enhance straight-line stability in rutted roads with renewed structure and improved tread and sidewall rigidity.

The 11MY Nissan GT-R will be released on sale in Japan in November this year, and North America, Europe and other regions after February 2011. It is set to hit Australian shores in March 2011
