Goodyear Fuel Saving Technology – Tyre Talk

What is Rolling Resistance?

20% of a car’s fuel consumption is due to the tyre

One of the ways to reduce fuel consumption is to decrease some of the frictions while it
drives. Therefore a decrease in tyre rolling friction (also called tyre rolling
resistance) leads to a reduction in fuel consumption.

Behind Goodyear Fuel Saving Technology – as found in the Assurance Fuel Max

FEATURE: Advanced rolling resistance compound

WHAT IT DOES
Full loaded silica compound reduces intramolecular  friction and
high abrasion resistance

CONSUMER BENEFIT
Reduced fuel consumption and longer tread life

.

FEATURE:Hard base under tread

WHAT IT DOES
Reduces crown area deformation and heat build-up

CONSUMER BENEFIT
Reduced fuel consumption and longer tread life

.

FEATURE: Even Pressure Distribution

WHAT IT DOES
Reduces frictional energy at tread surface, reducing the rate of wear

CONSUMER BENEFIT
Longer tread life
