Michelin donation to flooded Queensland

Like all Australians and indeed everyone around the world who has witnessed the devastation caused by the recent floods in Queensland our thoughts are with those who have been touched by this disaster.

Not only are they dealing with the immediate disaster but they are faced with a long period of recovery and rebuilding.

To demonstrate their support for those affected, Michelin Australia has today confirmed it will donate $1 for every MICHELIN passenger tyre and $5 for every MICHELIN truck tyre sold in January 2011.

In order to act swiftly Michelin Australia has already donated $100,000 to the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal to help with the current response and the massive clean up and recovery that will follow.

Any additional money raised will be donated to the fund in February.
