Bridgestone Focuses on the Future at Frankfurt Motor Show

Bridgestone Tyres is set to highlight the main elements of its future concepts and strategies at the 16th IAA International Motor Show, between 15 and 25 September, 2011.

At the event, better known as the Frankfurt Motor Show, Bridgestone will focus on the future with new generation eco-friendly and Run-Flat Tyres and development concepts.

Visitors to the Bridgestone stand will be given a preview of the main elements of its future strategy: ecology, innovation and reliability.

One side of the stand will present Bridgestone’s ecology solutions, including the Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 fitted on the all-electric Nissan LEAF; whilst a supporting display will explain how Bridgestone’s unique NanoPro-TechTM technology reduces rolling resistance without sacrificing grip.

A special innovation zone will display key projects in development with the new ‘Half Weight’ concept tyre and an innovative CAIS (Contact Area Information Sensing) system that measure tyre strains during rotation.

Bridgestone’s leadership in areas of reliability will also be highlighted with the latest generation Bridgestone Run-Flat Tyres with new heat-controlling technology which offer the same level of comfort as standard tyres. The Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT, the first RFT for the replacement market incorporating this new technology, will also be revealed at the show.
