N-TEC TECHNOLOGY was first created to meet the demands of Superbike racing, and is now available in selected Dunlop road tyres.
The point for pole position, earned in difficult conditions, proved crucial as Waters and Maxwell rode to a win and second place each. Maxwell was disappointed to miss out on a second race win and vowed to work harder than ever in the off-season to hit the ground running in 2012.
The difference between the first Dunlop tyre on the winning Team Suzuki bike and the nearest competitor tyre was an incredible 9 laps. Dunlop National Motorcycle & Motorsport Manager, Ken Wieden, congratulated the winners at the event and commented on the Dunlop tyre performance at the race.
The Suzuki-mounted Waters annihilated his own lap record, set in February, to win by a comfortable margin after a race-long battle between the factory Honda and Suzuki teams.
Pirelli has announced that from 2013, it will replace the current 16.5” tyre in the World Superbike Championship with the larger 17” Diablo Superbike tyres, in a move to better allow it to develop its road-going products in the motorsport arena

The Supersport and Superstock victories were achieved using Dunlop’s D211 GP tyre, with a road legal tread pattern, homologated for race use and built at Dunlop’s Motorsport department in Birmingham. The technology developed for this tyre is applied to Dunlop’s road legal GP Racer D211 tyres.
Pirelli has been renewed as the Official Tyre Supplier to the FIM Superbike World Championship after a new contract was signed between Pirelli and Infront Motor Sports. The agreement secures Pirelli its current role in the World Championship as unique racing tyre supplier for the four racing classes through the end of 2015.
