Heading into the final round of the season, James Courtney held a slim Championship lead over reigning title holder Jamie Whincup, and, despite finishing 14th, managed to hold on to win his first V8 Supercar crown. While Holden’s Lee Holdsworth claimed the final race win in front of Dunlop Super Dealer FPR driver Steven Richards and Shane Van Gisbergen, the day belonged to Courtney.
