Celebrating five years of continual market growth, which has included significant expansion into all eastern seaboard markets, the new website reflects an all new look that JAXQuickfit Tyres will roll out across its marketing collateral, and soon to be released television commercial.

“JAXQuickfit Tyres is entering its next phase of business development and growth, so we have taken the opportunity to capitalise on what we have achieved over the past few years with a fresh, cleaner look going into the next strategic phase,” JAXQuickfit Tyres CEO Jeff Board said.

“By introducing a fresh new look to our communications we are recognising that there is a need for constant improvement and to continue to be relevant to our customers, that’s what it is about.”

The new website offers easy navigation, plenty of images and extensive information and tips about tyre selection, safety and maintenance.

A significant investment has also been made to ensure the new site is compatible for iPad and iPhone users, as JAXQuickfit recognises the greater dependence consumers are placing on mobile communications.

Built around the fundamental design goals of user-friendliness and a clean visual layout, the website offers a range of new features to provide customers with a much greater on-line service. An easy-to-use wheel and tyre selector function has been added, enabling customers to quickly see the range of tyres or wheels suitable for their car.

The wheel options can even be ‘virtually fitted’ to a customer’s model of car, to see how they would look.

“Our aim with the website is to set an industry benchmark, within an ‘alive’ environment, we see it evolving continually as new features and new capability are added all the time,” Jeff Board said.

“JAXQuickfit has always been at the forefront of understanding the market and what customers are looking for, and we need to make sure we make it easy for them to engage with us … hence the new website functionality.”

“There’s no question that tyre retailing in Australia has changed enormously over the past five years,” Jeff Board confirms.

“Where once it was the sole bastion of males, coming in to sort out tyres for their family and friends, today our customer mix reflects the multi-cultural nature of our society and in particular we see many, many more female customers.”

The new JAXQuickfit Tyres television commercial, will make its debut in November and highlights the diverse range and breadth of customers that the business now has, as well as its unique offer of all the premium tyre brands, and the easy-to-use new website.

The company has also revised its point-of-sale collateral to reflect the refreshed branding.

Second-generation tyre industry specialist Warren Aitchison has taken control of JAXQuickfit Tyres’ Capalaba store.

Following in the footsteps of his father Barry who spent his life in tyres, new Franchisee Warren Aitchison has added the Capalaba outlet to his ownership of the Mitchelton store.

“There’s no doubt the tyre industry is in our family’s blood … my father spent most of his life in the tyre game and so far I’ve racked up 35 years myself, the last 15 of those as a business owner,” Warren Aitchison said.

“I enjoy the interaction with customers, I believe in the safety contribution good tyres make, and working with JAXQuickfit has been a rewarding experience.

“When the opportunity came to take on Capalaba as well, I jumped at it.”

Continuing the Tyre Family theme, Warren’s brother Scott – with 22 years’ experience in the industry – will continue to manage the Capalaba store and an increased staff roster.

“Scott shares a similar passion for the tyre industry and is a real specialist in the wheel side of it, so our offerings at Capalaba will reflect that,” Warren Aitchison said.

“We’re already well underway with a general refurbishment of the store to make it more customer-focused and friendly and to improve the quality of the work we perform.

“In the waiting area there’s now a plasma television and proper coffee machine to make our customers a bit more comfortable, while out in the workshop we’ve installed the latest state-of-the-art hoists and wheel alignment machines.”

Along with a large range of wheels and accessories and an extensive range of quality brand-name tyres, the Capalaba store offers customers brake, suspension and mechanical servicing, plus nitrogen fill.

With the recently extensively revamped shopping complex adjacent to the JAXQuickfit store, Capalaba is a regional hub that draws a mix of affluent, suburban and rural residents.

“It’s an interesting customer base to service … there’s a number of premium cars, there’s your everyday suburban family cars, and a whole heap of people with acreage, so there’s plenty of four-wheel-drives as well,” Warren Aitchison said.

“And of course there are plenty of boats, so there’s lots of trailer tyres too.”

Away from his two JAXQuickfit stores, Warren Aitchison spends time with wife Celeste and young adult sons Mark and Jeff, and is a keen boatie, relaxing on the water and fishing.

Son Mark is not home often, though, as he races for the Honda factory team in the World SuperSport Championship.
