FPR Resumes Winning Ways at Australian Grand Prix
Dunlop Ambassador Mark Winterbottom recaptured the form that saw him win seven races last year, dominating the Saturday 15-lap V8 Supercar race at the Australian grand Prix, with runner up results on the Friday and Sunday.
The Orrcon Steel FPR Falcon got an incredible start on Saturday, swerving past Craig Lowndes' Ford Falcon to take the lead. After that Frosty never looked threatened as he controlled the race from beginning to end.
In fact Winterbottom got the perfect score for spectacular starts throughout the entire weekend, snatching the lead in three-out-of- three races at Albert Park to go with his podium finishes in every race.
"After the restart in Saturday's race I had a whole lot of under-steer and I lost the balance of the car so I was just trying to hold on until the end. It's nice to get a win and show the car's competitive," Winterbottom said.
"Everyone can sit here and say it's an exhibition event but we could play indoor cricket and we'd all want to win; we're just competitive. FPR is the factory Ford team and it's important to the manufacturer so of course I'm pleased with the win."

"The car was good on the tyres we had; it was pretty well balanced. We saved our worst tyres until last but all weekend we were making changes to the car and it was getting quicker and quicker despite the old rubber, which is really encouraging."
