Richo & Frosty Help Support Dunlop Through 2008
To help further leverage Dunlop's proud association with Ford Performance Racing, FPR drivers Steven 'Richo' Richards and Mark 'Frosty' Winterbottom have been announced as two of Dunlop's brand ambassadors through 2008.
Mark 'Frosty' Winterbottom Richo and Frosty join the Dunlop team off the back of a fantastic season for Dunlop. In particular, Dunlop supplying its 50,000th tyre to the series at the Bathurst 1000 and the iconic tyre company winning its third consecutive contract to supply its highly acclaimed control tyre to teams in the Australian V8 Supercar Championship Series.
"I've been associated with Dunlop now for four years and it's great to represent such a household brand," explains Richo. "Dunlop has been the control tyre for V8 for seven years now and it's a testament to the company that it can provide a tyre that can race in all conditions: wet, dry, cold and hot."
While Richo has been sponsored by Dunlop for the past four years, this is a new sponsorship arrangement for Frosty who is delighted that the sponsorship package has been agreed.
"There's a lot of history with Dunlop in this sport and they are a big supporter of Ford Performance Racing. It's nice to have a personal relationship with them as well because they're a really professional company to deal with. I've only ever driven on Dunlops in V8 so I know the product itself. You rely on a good tyre when you're doing the speeds we do and I've plenty of faith in the product," said Frosty.
