JAX Turns 60 Years Young
Last of the true independent tyre retailers, JAXQuickfit celebrates 60 years of success in 2009.
Originally established in Sydney six decades ago as JAX Tyres, today's $100 million business provides specialist tyre, wheel, brake, suspension and associated services including wheel alignment through a 70-strong store network that reaches 80 percent of the Australian population.
JAXQuickfit has much to celebrate at the end of its sixth decade.
Coming off its best December on record, JAXQuickfit has just recorded its third straight year of double digit growth through its existing store network, and has exciting plans to expand further - and not just in Australia.
"JAXQuickfit has invested heavily in all parts of the business over the past two years and I can proudly say that we now have the most advanced, efficient and respected tyre retailing network in the country," company CEO Jeff Board said.
"We're serving more than 38,000 customers a month and were recently independently ranked as number one in customer satisfaction.
"So the financials work, our customers are very happy and we're returning great outcomes for our franchisees ... and all of this from a model developed specifically for lean times."

In December JAXQuickfit set new records in terms of both profit and sales, with 25 percent of its retail network enjoying an all-time record month.
Sharing its birthday with such luminaries as Holden and Porsche (in Australia), JAXQuickfit has marked the occasion with the production of a new television commercial and the utilization of a celebratory logo on its communications.
