Ventus V12 evo

Delivering premium-sports performance technology, the Ventus V12 Evo incorporates three key features for enhanced braking and handling performance: a centre rib for enhanced braking, a 3D effect on the block edge for maximum tyre-to-road contact, and a Y-shaped pattern for channeling water away from the tyres in wet conditions.

Ventus S1 evo

The Ventus S1 evo is the ultimate combination of Hankook’s Kontrol Technology. The Highly Dispersible Silica Compound delivers huge performance benefits in handling and braking, while the superior traction created by the asymmetric pattern design provides maximum road contact in all weather conditions. These features are joined together with a unique Wave Groove, which effectively channels water away from the tyre, resulting in unrivalled wet weather performance.

DynaproMT

The ultimate in all-terrain tyres, the Dynapro MT delivers superior handling for Australia’s harshest driving conditions. Whether driving on hard rock or soft sand, the zigzag shoulder pattern of the Dynapro MT delivers superior off-road traction. Stone ejectors have been incorporated into the shoulder grooves to prevent both tyre damage and external impacts, while greater durability has been achieved with Hankook Tyre’s unique under-groove design, which prevents impact damage and softens external shock.

Optimo K415

Designed for comfort, the Optimo K415 delivers a quieter ride without compromising performance or safety. The ribbed shoulder block is designed to reduce road noise levels and minimise vibrations, resulting in a quieter, more comfortable ride. Hankook Tyre’s innovative pattern design, combined with Kontrol Technology’s stand-out High Grip Silica Compound, delivers excellent handling and braking performance. The four wide grooves effectively drain water from the footprint area in wet weather conditions, making the Optimo K415 one of the safest and most comfortable tyres on the road.

Ventus ST

The ultimate high performance tyre for SUVs, the Ventus ST combines a V-shaped tread for superior handling with computerised tread design to reduce road noise and vibrations. The result is a smoother, quieter ride with supreme handling and braking. Its high-tech compound and computerized carcass design also results in tread wear unseen before in SUV tyres.

Kinergy

The Kinergy eco tyre incorporates Hankook’s revolutionary fuel saving compound technology, which uses new materials and mixing technology to reduce rolling resistance. This in turn reduces fuel consumption significantly. At the same time, performance and comfort remain uncompromised, as water is effectively channeled away from the tyres for excellent wet weather handling and braking, while the low noise pattern evenly distributes road noise to deliver a quieter and more comfortable ride.

History

Hankook Tyres became Korea’s first tyre manufacturer when they began operations in 1941. Since then, they have become one of the world’s leading tyre producers, with technical centres, manufacturing operations and distributions centres in Korea, China, Hungary, Germany, the USA and the Netherlands. In 2006, Hankook Tyres became the world’s 7th largest tyre manufacturer.

Hankook Tyres has won many prestigious awards. These have included the 10 Best Collaborative Companies Award from FAW-Volkswagen in 2006, and Germany’s iF Design Award in 2009 and 2012. Additionally, Hankook received the highest mark possible (Very Recommendable) in the ADAC Test in 2007 and 2009.

Hankook Tyre continues to expand its operations, rolling out the second phase of its plant in Hungary in 2009.

Hankook's Historical Timeline (1941 - 2012)

1941 - 1999:

• 1941 Founded the company as the first tyre manufacturer in Korea.
• 1979 Built the Daejeon Plant in Korea, the world's largest single tyre production facility.
• 1981 Established the company's subsidiary in the USA, Hankook Tyre America Corporation.
• 1982 Built Technical Centre in Daejeon, Korea.
• 1992 Built main R&D Centre in Daejeon, Korea.
  Built Arkon Technical Centre, the company's first overseas R&D Centre, in Ohio, USA.
• 1994 Established the company's first overseas branch in Beijing, China.
• 1996 Built the Europe Technical Centre (ETC) in Hannover, Germany.
• 1997 Built Geumsan Plant in Korea, a highly advanced & automated tyre manufacturing facility.
• 1998 Built the China Technical Centre (CTS) in Jianxing, China.
• 1999 Built the Jiangsu Plant and the Jianxing Plant in China.

2000 - 2012:

• 2000 Opened ERP System
• 2001 Built the Europe Distribution Centre (EDC) in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
• 2003 Formed a strategic alliance with Michelin.
• 2004 Unveiled new corporate identity.
• 2005 Built a dry-track proving ground in Keumsan, Korea.
  Formed strategic alliance with Ford.
  Introduced T'Station, a premium automotive service retail franchise, in Korea.
• 2006 Achieved the world's 7th largest tyre manufacturer rank.
  Built Hungary Plant, the company's first European plant, in Dunaujvaros, Hungary.
  Concluded technical agreement with Audi.
