Cameron McConville and WOW Racing staged a strong recovery on the 2nd day of track activity today at Bahrain International Circuit in Qualifying and Race 1 of 3.
Cam's Qualifying run yielded only 21st, however, a strong run in Race 1 produced a 13th and some solid points after an action-packed event. It also places the WOW Commodore back in touch with the key cars on the grid for tomorrow's Race 2
Cameron McConville comments
Qualifying: "I really didn't have the pace to progress beyond the first group in Qualifying. We're struggling to find that few extra split seconds."
Race 1: "That was pretty busy! I avoided at least 3 crazy incidents and along the way I had great battles with Paul Dumbrell, Greg Murphy and Jack Perkins. I flat-spotted a right front tyre which meant we had to "diagonal" the incoming tyres in the CPS changing the right front and left rear. Considering that creates an odd car balance, it was a handy result. I think we can hunt down a Top Ten from here."
